How to Create a Pageless Document on Google Docs
Wondering how to prevent text in a document from spilling over to a new page in Google Docs? On average, a Google Docs file with single spacing can hold about 500 words. Any additional words will overflow onto a new page if you exceed this limit.
If you plan to print the document, it’s practical to split the content across pages. However, for digital formats, maintaining a paged layout is unnecessary.
Google Docs offers a pageless feature that allows users to type and scroll through text without the need for page breaks or spills. Here’s how to enable the pageless feature on Google Docs for PC and mobile.

2. If you’re starting a new document, click on the Blank template in the ‘Start a new document’ section. If you’re converting an existing file, select it from your Recent documents.
3. Once the document is open, click on the File tab at the top left.
Step 4: Click Page Setup.
Step 5: At the top of the dialog window, click Pageless.
Step 6: To change the page’s background color, select your preferred color from the drop-down menu under Background color.
