Being in Meta’s ecosystem provides the benefit of seamless integration between apps like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. All three platforms now support auto-disappearing stories, and with the recent update, you can auto-share your WhatsApp status to a Facebook story.
WhatsApp now allows you to automatically share Instagram stories on Facebook. This integration was previously unavailable, but it has been added with the latest update. To use this feature, make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp on your iPhone or Android device. Please note that this integration is only available on the mobile apps, and cannot be accessed through the desktop apps.
To connect your WhatsApp account to Facebook, install and sign in to the Facebook app on your phone. Then, follow these steps:
1. Open WhatsApp on Android and tap the three-dot menu at the top. Choose Settings.
2. Go to Privacy and open Status.
Step 3: Select Facebook under the ‘Share my status updates across my accounts’ option.
Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions and tap Agree. If you want to share your WhatsApp status with another Facebook account, tap ‘Have another account’ and enter the login credentials for the same.
That’s it. You can share WhatsApp status on Facebook by enabling the option from the privacy menu. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Privacy menu in WhatsApp settings.
2. Select Status and tap Facebook.
Step 3: Enable the ‘Always share to Facebook story’ toggle.
From now on, you can share WhatsApp status updates on Facebook stories simultaneously. When you upload a WhatsApp status, you will see an option to share it as a Facebook story. You can tap on it and disable the ‘Always share to Facebook story’ toggle if you don’t want to share a certain story on Facebook.
Auto-sharing your WhatsApp status on Facebook is possible on iPhone as well. Follow these steps to make the necessary changes.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your iPhone and access the Settings tab.
Step 2: Go to Privacy and select Status.
When you’re ready to begin, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open WhatsApp and go to Settings.
Step 2: Tap on the Account option.
Step 3: Tap Get Started. WhatsApp will detect your current Facebook account and prompt you to agree.
Step 4: If you want to share your WhatsApp status with a different Facebook account, tap “Have a different account?”.
After entering your login credentials, you can share your WhatsApp status as a Facebook story. Now, let’s enable auto-sharing.
Step 1: Go to Status privacy in WhatsApp settings (refer to the steps above).
Step 2: Tap Status and select Facebook.
Enable the ‘Always share to Facebook story’ toggle.
When sharing a status on WhatsApp, check for the Facebook icon before sending. Customize your WhatsApp status with stickers, crop tools, text, and doodling.
Deleting your WhatsApp status does not automatically delete the Facebook story. You need to manually remove the uploaded story on Facebook.
There are two ways to disable WhatsApp status sharing on Facebook. You can either use the messaging app or change the Facebook settings.
Step 1: Go to WhatsApp Settings.
Step 2: Tap Privacy, then tap Status.
Step 3: Tap Facebook and disable it.
Step 1: Open Facebook and access the menu.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings & Privacy and choose Settings.
Step 3: Scroll down to Stories and select Sharing options.
Step 4: Disable sharing and confirm your decision.
Hide Facebook Stories From Annoying Friends
Auto-sharing your WhatsApp status on Facebook allows all your friends to view your story on the platform. To hide your story from specific friends, adjust the privacy settings of your Facebook story. For more information, refer to our guide on hiding stories from someone on Facebook.
WhatsApp status sharing on Facebook is a one-way street. You can’t auto-share Facebook story to WhatsApp status. Currently, Facebook only allows story sharing on Instagram.
Nevertheless, WhatsApp’s Facebook integration is an excellent way to share trendy stories with friends and family. Would you use Facebook integration with WhatsApp? Share your preference in the comments.
