Here’s how to add music to an Instagram post on your Android or iPhone.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your phone and tap the plus icon in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Select the image or video and tap the right arrow at the top.
Step 3: Edit your post as usual and tap the right arrow again.
Step 4: On the next screen, tap Add music and browse the library.
Step 5: Under the For you tab, you’ll find recommended songs. You can use the Browse tab to explore genres or the search bar at the top to find a specific song.
Step 6: Select your track and slide to choose a favorite section. Tap the checkmark to continue.
Step 7: Tap the checkmark to upload your Instagram post. The title of the song will appear above your post.
How to Add Music to an Instagram Story
Instagram stories allow you to share everyday moments with friends and followers. You can enhance your stories using filters, effects, stickers, text, and other features. Adding music can make your story more interesting. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Open Instagram and select Your story.
Step 2: Select the photo or video for your story or record one using the shutter button.
Step 3: Tap the sticker icon and choose the Music sticker.
Step 4: Search for a song or explore genres in the Browse tab. Listen to a short clip using the play button. Choose the song you want for your story.
Step 5: Use the slider to select a part of the song you want to use. Set the clip duration between 5 and 15 seconds.
Step 6: Scroll through the available sticker styles to select the one you like and tap on Done.
Step 7: Place the music sticker on your story.
Step 8: Tap the arrow icon in the bottom right corner and then tap the Share button.

Step 4: Use the slider to select a clip of the song you wish to use and tap Done. Then, tap Next.
