1. Explore the Macro Mode
The OnePlus 11 features a 48MP ultrawide sensor that doubles as a macro lens. This is useful for capturing close-up shots of flowers or small objects with high detail. Unlike other phones with a 2MP macro sensor, the OnePlus 11’s 48MP sensor provides additional detail in photos. To activate the Macro mode, open the camera app in photo mode and tap the 3-dot icon in the top right corner. From there, select Auto macro.
From here, you can set the Macro to off, or for it to work automatically.
Once Auto Macro mode is enabled, simply point the camera up close to a small object. The camera will switch to Macro mode automatically, enabling easy capture of detailed macro shots.
2. Use Smart Audio in Videos
The OnePlus 11 camera records stunning videos. But did you know you can enhance their audio quality too? The phone has a Smart Audio feature that records audio in stereo and eliminates wind noise. Additionally, when zooming in while recording, the audio adjusts accordingly. To enable Smart Audio, open the camera app and tap the 3-dot icon in the top right corner, then tap Settings.
Scroll down to the Video section and tap on Audio effects. Toggle the setting from Standard to Smart.
3. Click Shots in High Res (50MP and 48MP)
The OnePlus 11 features a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor for its primary camera and a 48MP Sony IMX581 sensor for its ultrawide camera. By default, the phone captures pixel-binned images. However, you can capture full high-resolution images by opening the camera app in Photo mode and enabling the toggle in the top right corner.
All shots will be captured in full resolution. Switch between the primary sensor and the UW sensor by tapping on the zoom value below.
4. Use Raw+ Mode
The OnePlus 11 features Hasselblad’s camera advancements. It offers a RAW mode and a RAW+ mode, which combines the RAW format with Hasselblad’s AI improvements to provide a higher dynamic range in your photos. The photos are captured in the DNG format for lossless editing.
To use RAW+ mode, swipe left on the bottom ribbon until you see the More option. Tap on Pro to enter the Pro mode.
Once inside Pro mode, tap the JPG icon at the top and switch to RAW Plus.
And that’s it! All the shots you capture will now be saved in the DNG format with HDR enhancements. You can switch between the lenses by tapping the zoom icon below.
5. Check Out the Pro Video Mode
Speaking of Pro modes, the OnePlus 11 also has a pro mode for videos. This allows you to control the shutter speed, ISO, and exposure, as well as access the Histogram. You can even record videos in LOG for manual color grading later. To enable the Pro video mode, swipe left on the bottom ribbon until you see More, then tap on Film mode. Now you have full control over your device to record videos in your preferred style.
6. Capture Cool Portrait Videos
Shooting cinematic portrait videos is popular nowadays. The OnePlus 11 has a capable portrait mode for videos. To enable it, open the Camera app and switch to Video mode. Tap the lens icon to open the Depth of field settings.
Here, you can adjust the bokeh strength of the portrait video you wish to record. Just tap anywhere on the screen to hide this menu and go back to the video recording mode. The lens icon will turn orange, indicating that the portrait mode for videos has been enabled.
You can easily record bokeh videos with your OnePlus 11. Note that portrait video is not supported by the ultrawide lens.
7. Try Night Mode with Filters
The OnePlus 11 offers significant improvements in Night Mode. It also includes creative filters for capturing unique low-light shots. To access these filters, switch to Night Mode by swiping the bottom ribbon and tap on the filter icon.
You can now use filters to get unique styles for your shots.
