We have seen how to backup user and system apps, including their app data, using Titanium Backup. However, backups should be regularly updated. If you have to flash your phone and realize that the backup is weeks old, it’s as good as having no backup at all. To avoid this situation, we can automate the process using Titanium Backup Scheduler.

Step 1: Run Titanium Backup and let it initialize and read your system settings. Once the app initializes, tap the Schedule tab on the top, next to Overview and Backup/Restore buttons.

Step 2: When running the scheduler for the first time, there are already two default tasks configured: “Redo backup of modified data” and “Backup new user+system app & newer version”. The scheduled execution date and time are shown, which is crucial.
