How to Create a Cool Email Signature With WiseStamp
A signature is a personal statement. With the decline of snail mail, the signature was losing its impact. But, WiseStamp revitalizes emails and lets you make a social statement.
WiseStamp and its email apps let you customize your signatures with links to your social profiles. With the right profiles (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, blog post, etc.), your WiseStamp signature reflects your personal brand. See examples in WiseStamp’s gallery.
Getting Started With Your Email Signature
To customize a WiseStamp email signature, simply enter an email account and follow these steps:
1. Install the WiseStamp browser extension for Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari.
2. WiseStamp is compatible with various email services including Gmail, Google Apps, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, and AOL.
3. Once the extension is installed, WiseStamp will automatically start.
4. Design your signature according to your preferences.
5. To backup your signature settings, create a WiseStamp account.
That’s it! By following these steps, you can easily create a personalized WiseStamp email signature.
Open your email account and click on the WiseStamp icon to access the app’s Preferences (The app is located on the top right and also on the compose window toolbar). This is where all signature customization will take place.
You can start from scratch or use templates from the examples gallery. Without the paid upgrade, you can create a maximum of two signatures named “Personal” or “Business”. Type your name and details like address, phone, and fax in the signature editor. Use the format tools to design your text. WiseStamp allows you to upload a photo or use any other image as a logo. The editor gives you full control, and you can tweak the HTML source. Use tables to align images and text, make them eye-catching with fonts and colors, and use symbols for design touches.
The communication power of WiseStamp is evident in its gallery of dynamic apps. These apps are organized under three tabs – Email Apps, Social Icons, and IM Icons – and connect your email recipients to your online profiles. For example, if you have a blog, you can add the RSS feed icon to promote your latest article.
Inserting a motivational quote below your signature line could make someone’s day.
Click on the Social Icons tab and enter your profile links. The lineup of social profiles is quite inclusive.
Add your IM usernames if you want to send out your chat contact details too.
The design tab has limited options for background color and box style. Keeping it simple is recommended.
The help section has tips and tricks to help you achieve the perfect look.
Click Preview to test the look. If you’re not satisfied, you can always go back and edit the signature. My signature is humdrum, but yours could be better.
