How to Connect Galaxy Buds to Galaxy Watch
The Galaxy Buds are an excellent choice for wireless earphones. They are portable with a battery life of thirteen hours. The touchpads are a great addition, and connecting them to an Android phone is simple.
Connecting the Galaxy Buds to the Galaxy Watch can be a bit complicated, especially if your Buds were paired to a phone before. However, it is not impossible. In this post, we will guide you on pairing the Galaxy Buds to the Galaxy Watch. Let’s get started!
Pair the Galaxy Buds to Galaxy Watch
Step 1: If you’ve just taken the Buds out of the box and they haven’t been paired before, open the case to put them in pairing mode. Look for a notification light.
For previously connected Buds, turn off Bluetooth on your phone or laptop to disconnect them. Keep the lid open to put the Buds in pairing mode.
Note
Step 2: On your Galaxy Watch, go to Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > BT headset and tap Scan.
Once you find the earbuds, tap to connect.
Step 3: The Galaxy Watch allows you to listen to offline tracks with its built-in player.
To add tracks, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone and select Add Content > Add tracks. Make sure the watch is close to your phone.
Adding tracks to the Galaxy Watch takes time. Twist your way to the Audio Player on your watch and tap on the phone icon to change the mode to watch.
Tap Play to get a mini music player on your watch.
What Happens When You Switch Devices?
Pairing the Galaxy Buds to a new phone, even without the Galaxy Wearable app, is not tricky and is similar to pairing other Bluetooth audio devices. Just keep the Buds in pairing mode, scan for them, and that’s it! However, without the Galaxy Wearable app, you won’t have access to features like the Equalizer or Ambient Quiet. To connect the app to the Buds, open it, select Galaxy Buds from the list of devices, and start the scan with the case open.
Tap on the buds to select it. The app downloads the Galaxy Buds plugin separately and needs a few permissions to set up. Once done, you can use it like you did on your previous devices.
How to Reset Galaxy Buds
The pairing process is not always perfect. Sometimes one device needs a reset. Currently, you can reset the Buds using the Galaxy Wearable app. Make sure the phone is connected to the Buds during the reset.
If the buds are paired with other devices, pair them using the method described above.
Once done, open the app and go to About earbuds > Reset earbuds, then press Reset.
This method is foolproof and ensures a proper reset.
Bonus Galaxy Buds Tricks
1. Customize the Touchpads
With Galaxy Buds, you can remap the touchpad’s ‘Touch and Hold’ action. To make changes, go to the Wearable app and select Touchpad. Tap either the left or right side and choose an option.
Voice Command opens Google Assistant (or the selected digital assistant), while selecting Quick Ambient sound decreases volume and increases ambient sound. The Lock touchpad button renders the touchpads ineffective, which is useful if you fidget with your earpieces and don’t want to accidentally skip tracks while adjusting the fit.
2. Switch to the Dynamic Mode
The equalizer has four modes: Bass boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear, and Treble boost. My favorite is the Dynamic mode.
This device automatically selects the EQ preset based on the songs that are playing. Trust me, the sound quality is excellent.
3. Manage Notifications
The Wearable app allows you to customize your Galaxy Buds notifications. You don’t want your music interrupted frequently, but you also don’t want to miss important notifications. To make changes, go to Notification management, and toggle the switch for the desired app. That’s all there is to it.
Music Control on Your Wrists
Both Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds are perfect for playing songs on the go. All you need is time to transfer the songs to the watch. The rest is easy.
