How To Change Google Feed Language in the Google App
Instead of downloading a separate news app, you can get your daily news in the Google app’s Google Feed. The feed includes more than just news; you can also add weather, sports updates, and more. By following different topics in the Google Feed settings, you can view a wide range of information. However, the feed is only useful if it’s available in your preferred language.
Sometimes, when adjusting settings, we unintentionally change the language of the Google Feed. It can also occur that Google displays results in a different language without explanation. For instance, in India, Google began showing cards in Hindi even if the Google Feed language had been set to English, resulting in frustration among users.
To revert the language back to its original setting, we have investigated various methods to change the Google Feed language.
1. Clear Cache
To change the language in the Google Feed, clear the cache for the Google app. Here’s how:
1. Open device Settings and go to Apps/Apps & Notifications/App Manager.
2. Find the Google app and tap on it.
Step 2: Tap Storage under Google and clear cache.
Open the Google app and check if the original language is back. If not, proceed to method two.
2. Uninstall Google App Updates
Sometimes an app update is responsible for messing up the Google Feed language. You need to uninstall recent updates and install a fresh version from Google Play Store.
To uninstall Google app updates, follow these steps:
1. Under device Settings, tap Apps/Apps & Notifications/App Manager. Then select the Google app.
Step 2: Tap on the three-dot menu icon at the top-right corner of the Google App info screen. Select Uninstall updates from the menu.
Step 3: Open Google Play Store and update the Google app.
3. Change Card Settings
This method is helpful when Google Feed shows cards in a different language. To change the card language, follow these steps:
1. Open the Google app on your device.
2. Tap the three-dot menu icon at the top-right corner of the card.
3. Tap the icon for the card in a different language.
Step 2: Choose “Do not show stories in Hindi” to revert the cards in the feed to the correct language.
4. Change Device Language
Google Feed displays results based on your device language. If your device language is set to English, you will receive Google Now cards in English. To change the language of your Google Feed, you need to change your device language. Here are the steps to do so:
1. Open device Settings.
2. Navigate to Languages & input. It may be under the main Settings, System, or Additional Settings.
Step 2: Tap Languages and set your preferred language at the top. Drag the languages to change their position.
Step 3: Open the Google app. You will see that the cards are now available in the selected language.
5. Change Language for Google Services
If the above methods don’t work, try changing the language for Google services. This will affect all Google services, so do this only if you really want to.
To achieve this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open device Settings and navigate to Google. Tap the Google Account option at the top.
Step 2: Go to Google account settings and tap on the Data & personalization tab.
Step 3: Scroll down, tap on Language, and keep the default language as per your choice.
Bonus Trick: Follow Interesting Topics in Google Feed
When adjusting Google Feed settings, simply add new topics of interest. This way, you’ll receive news and related information about these topics directly in the feed. No need to search; just open the Google app and your chosen topics will be waiting for you.
To add new topics to your Google Feed:
1. Open the Google app and tap the three-bar menu at the bottom-right corner.
2. Tap on Customize.
Step 2: Customize the feed screen. Tap Follow topics. Select from a variety of topics. Click a category to choose subcategories. Use the search icon to search for topics.
Step 3: Finally, click Finished.

3. Identify Content Gaps:
Keyword research can provide valuable insights into the topics and themes that are currently in demand within a specific niche. By analyzing keyword trends and search volumes, content creators can uncover content gaps and opportunities for creating relevant and valuable content. This can help them stay ahead of the competition and position themselves as authoritative sources of information within their niche.
