How to Block Facebook Game App Invitations and Requests

The credit for my involvement with Facebook goes to my friends, who tempted me with their endless requests. However, these game app invitations or requests can be incredibly annoying and can consume a substantial amount of your productive time.

As someone who has fallen victim to these requests, I started seeking a solution to block them. It’s important to note that I don’t hate all apps, just some of them. Fortunately, I discovered a way to block these requests, and now I’m here to share that trick with you.

Here’s a cool tip: If you want to block messages and friend requests from strangers, we have a separate guide for you. You can find it here.

Facebook provides a method to block app requests from specific friends and from apps themselves. It’s worth mentioning that blocking a request from a friend doesn’t block the friend itself, so you don’t have to worry about that.

Steps to Block App Requests on Facebook

There are two ways to do this: blocking requests from a friend and blocking an app. Here’s how:

Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account.

Step 2: On the Facebook homepage, click the small lock icon on the right side to access the settings menu.

Step 3: On this menu, click on the link “See More Settings”. This will take you to a new page of settings. On the left sidebar, look for “Blocking” and click on it to go to the “Manage Blocking” page.

Step 4: Look for the section “Block app invites” to block requests from a friend. The goal here is to block all app requests from the selected friend.

To block requests for an app, look for the section “Block apps”. This is to block requests from all friends for the given app.

Step 5: For either of the sections, search for a friend or an app respectively. Once found, add it to the blocked list by hitting enter or clicking on it.

That’s it. End of the nuisance. No more annoying game invitations or requests.

Applications are designed to reach a wide audience. Friends often send you invites and requests to progress in their games and update their statuses. Consequently, your notification list can become cluttered with these requests. Fortunately, now you have control over this. Instead of complaining about receiving requests, take action and manage your list accordingly. If you find these appeals irritating, feel free to share your experiences. Enjoy!
