How to Batch Download Facebook Photos
Facebook is well-known and needs no introduction. I won’t tell you anything about Facebook Photos as it should be familiar to you. Photos are a great way to share your holidays, convocation party, or your kid’s first birthday with family and friends on Facebook. Uploading photos is easy, but downloading them can be challenging. There are various tools and online services available, but many of them require access to your profile and all your data.
If you don’t trust these tools with your valuable data and are looking for a better alternative, consider PhotoLive for Chrome. PhotoLive saves photos and albums from Facebook without accessing your account. With PhotoLive, you can quickly download any album you have permission to view.
Using PhotoLive Extension
To download Facebook photos, follow these steps:
1. Get the PhotoLive extension for Google Chrome from the web store.
2. Install the extension on your browser and the PhotoLive button will appear whenever you view a Facebook album. Click the button to activate the plugin.
Note: The plugin doesn’t support downloading individual photos. We’ll cover that later.
3. On the album preview page, a new button called “Download Album” will appear. Click it to proceed.
Step 4: You will be redirected to the PhotoLive page for download preparation. Once PhotoLive collects your data, the download will start.
Step 5: Download the file, extract the archive, and enjoy your photographs.
Downloading individual photographs
You can download photos using the PhotoLive manual page. Simply copy the URL of the photo you want and paste it on the manual download page. Then click the download button. Even if you’re not using Google Chrome, you can still use this feature. However, if you have a large number of photos in different albums that you want to download manually, it can be a tiring process.
Issues
According to the developer, if you only receive a zip file with a readme and a thank image, try disabling secure browsing prior to downloading.
My Verdict
PhotoLive is a fantastic extension that allows you to effortlessly download Facebook photo albums that you have permission to view. It downloads full-size images directly from the Facebook servers, ensuring that you obtain high-quality images on your hard disk.
