7 Reasons Why Honor 9N is a Great Phone in the Budget Segment
This year, Honor introduced the Honor 9N, a new budget smartphone. It features the Kirin 659 processor and a stylish design. With its competitive price, the Honor 9N offers a great combination of features and value.
The Honor 9N is a fantastic phone in the sub-Rs 15,000 price range. Instead of us telling you, discover why you should consider the Honor 9N as your next phone.
1. Stunning Looks
Aside from the camera and the processor, what’s the one thing you look for when buying a phone? For me, the design and style of a phone matters as much as its features. If you are someone like me, rest assured that you won’t be disappointed with the Honor 9N.
The smartphone comes in vibrant Blue, Lavender Purple, and Robin Egg Blue (in addition to black), and stands out among other devices. The sleek finish on the back panel is interrupted by the fingerprint sensor and dual camera.
The Honor 9N phone has no visible antenna lines and a glossy finish on its glass back, giving it a clean and premium look. Its slim profile adds to its appeal.
2. Immersive Display
The Honor 9N is a new phone in the sub-Rs 15,000 price bracket that features a 5.84-inch FHD+ IPS panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is bright, sharp, and has minimal bezels.
These factors combine to provide a great viewing experience, allowing you to fully enjoy your favorite movies.
3. To be, or Not-ch to Be
Almost a year has passed since the notch was introduced in the iPhone X. Since then, it has become a common feature in most phones, dividing users into two camps – those who love it and those who hate it. Luckily, Honor has successfully appealed to both groups.
The Honor 9N offers the ability to hide the notch by darkening the area above the status bar, returning to the standard 18:9 aspect ratio.
4. Dual Camera + AI Advantage
The Honor 9N stands out for its rear camera module, featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. This combination captures impressive pictures, offering features such as Portrait (bokeh) mode, Motion-photos, and a Wide-angle mode.
The AR mode is the cherry on top, adding backgrounds and face filters to your photos. Backgrounds are limited to the front camera, but filters are available for both. Here are some sample photos taken with the Honor 9N.
5. Feature Rich EMUI 8.0
If you love custom user interfaces, you’re in luck. Like its predecessors, the Honor 9N has the feature-rich EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. It offers plenty of customizations and tweaks. EMUI 8.0 also enables fingerprint sensor gestures and split-window functionality. But the standout features are Floating Navigation Dock and Battery Saving mode.
The former is a screen toolbar that lets you navigate your phone, while the latter allows you to switch between FHD+ and HD+ resolutions to save battery.
6. Uninterrupted Gaming + GPU Turbo
The Game Suite is a valuable tool for gamers as it improves your gaming experience by consolidating all your games in one place and enhancing performance. Additionally, it provides an immersive gaming experience by blocking intrusive elements such as calls and alarms.
The GPU Turbo is the most important feature. It’s a graphics processing acceleration technology that improves gaming experience by optimizing graphics performance and eliminating software that bottleneck the GPU’s operation. In short, the GPU and gaming software get priority over other things for games.
7. Face Unlock
The Honor 9N features Face Unlock, a fast and convenient unlocking method that is quicker than PIN, Pattern, or Fingerprint.
All you need to do is glance at the phone (after registering the face data) to swiftly open the doors to your phone.
Yay or Nay?
The consumer tech scene in India has experienced a shift in recent years, exemplified by phones like Honor 9N. Stylish, slim, and featuring the right specs at the right price – a winning formula for a budget-friendly phone. Considering buying the Honor 9N? Share your thoughts in the comments.
