5 Leaked Vivo V5 Features: 20 MP Front Camera and More
Chinese OEM Vivo is set to launch its new range of smartphones, the Vivo V5 and V5 Plus, on November 15. These devices are an upgrade from the earlier V3 and V3 Max models.
The fifth and sixth phones in the company’s smartphone lineup will sport a metal design. The Vivo V5, with a 20 MP front camera, will set new benchmarks in the selfie-focused smartphones market, competing with Gionee S6s and Oppo F1s. Not much is known about the Vivo V5 Plus, except that it will also have a 20 MP front camera. Below are some features of the Vivo V5 that might interest you.
1. More Power To Gamers and Non-Gamers too
The Vivo V5 Plus will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Octa-core processor chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz. It also includes an Adreno 510 graphics processing unit. These are significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, the V3, which had a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 616 chipset and Adreno 405 GPU.
2. A Bigger Screen For Easier Accessibility
The V5 features a 5.5 inch AMOLED screen with HD display, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. While the size is an upgrade from the V3’s 5-inch display, some may have preferred a Full HD (1980 x 1080) option. Perhaps the V5 Plus will offer that.
3. A Day to Rejoice for Selfie Aficionados
The V5 features a 20 MP front camera with moonlight flash and a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. The moonlight flash on the front camera is a boon for selfie-enthusiasts, especially in low-light photography. This camera could help you get the perfect selfie.
This is a big upgrade on the 8 MP front camera the V3 had, while the rear camera stays the same.
4. Seamlessly Multitask with Increased RAM and Storage
Vivo’s latest launch features 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB with a Micro SD card. This upgrade from the previous model’s 3GB RAM simplifies multitasking.
5. Longer Hours with Increased Battery Power
The Vivo V5 features a 3000 mAh battery, an upgrade from its predecessor’s 2550 mAh Li-ion battery. It is non-detachable, unlike the V3.
Unfortunately, the Vivo V5 will not receive the Android Nougat update. Instead, it will run FunTouch OS 2.6, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Vivo V5 is expected to be priced around INR 20,000 ($295) and is a great choice for selfie enthusiasts.
