It comes with a 14-day free trial but has a subscription model. I recommend subscribing to get rid of the ads. The monthly subscription costs $9.99, but the annual subscription is cheaper at $79. There is also a news section to keep you updated.
2. Funimation
Funimation is a free anime app for Android and iOS. However, Crunchyroll is superior in terms of platform support. Funimation’s popularity stems from its extensive catalog, which can be accessed without a paywall. While it does have ads, they can be tolerated with a little patience.
There is a subscription model to remove them if desired, but it’s not compulsory. Alternatively, you can pay as low as $5.99 per month for the subscription. Because Funimation is the official broadcaster for some anime shows and a major distributor, certain shows are exclusive to their platform.
Keep in mind that the latest app version has broken the UI, resulting in frequent lagging and stuttering at the time of writing this guide. VRV is the ultimate anime streaming app. With one subscription, you can access Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, Mondo, and more. VRV is one of the most affordable subscriptions at $9.99 per month. It’s a paradise for anime lovers who can’t get enough.
Note that VRV streams more than just anime. There is other good content, but let’s stay focused. I recommend you cancel Crunchyroll and get VRV. It has enough content to last quite some time. Additionally, there is a free version of the app available, but it is ad-supported.
5. AnimeLab
AnimeLabs is a popular anime streaming app for Android. Compared to other anime apps with sluggish UI and excessive ads, AnimeLabs stands out. Developed by fans, for fans, it doesn’t face the same issues as its competitors.
AnimeLabs offers a collection of classic and popular anime shows such as DragonBall Super, Naruto, and One-Punch Man. This Android app is free, with ads that are not intrusive and do not affect your streaming experience. For $7 per month, you can remove ads and watch all shows in HD.

There are numerous anime apps available on Android and iOS platforms, but the main issue is legality. Most of these apps are illegal and pirate content without proper authorization.
