4 Ways to Vastly Improve Internet Browsing On Your PS3
The PS3 web browser is an interesting feature, but to optimize your browsing experience, you need to understand how it works. Here are some tips to improve your experience.
1. Zoom In On Your Browser Window
Open the web browser on your PS3 by heading to “Network” on the XMB and scrolling down until you find the browser. Once opened, you can visit any website.
To zoom into a website on your PS3, press R3 on your controller.
Once you open the web browser on your PS3 and have a website open, press the Triangle button, select Open in New Window in the File menu to open another web page. This way you can open multiple browser windows. You can scroll between these windows by pressing R2 or L2.
Cool Tip: Another way to open a link in your current browser window is by hovering over the link and pressing and holding the X button. Similarly, you can close the active PS3 browser window by pressing and holding the Circle button.
To access multiple browser windows, press L3 (left stick click) to enter multi-page mode and navigate between open windows.
Once you select a window, press L3 to activate it.
3. Speed Up Your PS3 Internet Browser
Just because this browser is on your PS3, it can suffer from the same problems as traditional browsers, such as slow loading times. To improve browser speed, press the triangle button with any browser window open, go to the Tools menu, and select Delete Cookies. Then, scroll down and select Delete Cache.
After this, your PS3 browser speed will significantly improve.
4. Lock Your PS3 Internet Browser
The PS3 browser is functional and capable, making it a suitable option for browsing. To prevent children from accessing blocked websites on other devices, you can enable the web browser lock on your PS3. Simply go to Settings on the XMB, choose Security Settings, and select Internet Browser Start Control. Set a four-digit passcode of your choice to block the browser.
Make the most of these simple tips to improve your browsing on your PS3.
