Refocus The Department of Energy to its Intended Purpose

Let's set our sights on returning the Department of Energy to its original charter, to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

Since we are sitting on more oil and gas than in all of Saudi Arabia, this should not present an insurmountable problem.

It will certainly buy us enough time, and keep enough oil money in this country to make other energy sources practical, affordable and ubiquitous, and while we're at it, buy back some of that debt from the Chinese and make us enough money to save all manner of endangered species.

Energy independence will come from private enterprise and scientists, not government and politicians.

Ask yourself, how many windmills will the revenue from just one oil well build?

Return the Military to its Original Mission Statement
